Qualifications:
High school diploma or G.E.D. required. Candidates must pass background and drug screening per Kaw Nation Gaming Commission regulations to obtain a gaming license (Medical Marijuana cards are accepted). Flexibility to work any shift as needed or assigned—including weekends, evenings, and holidays—is required. Physical requirements entail ability to lift and carry 50lbs, frequent stooping, reaching, bending, and carrying in a hot and wet environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The dishwasher is responsible for cleaning dishes and kitchenware in a food service environment to ensure a steady supply of clean plates, bowls, silverware, pots, pans, and glasses. Duties include prioritizing loads based on type of items, hand-washing dishes, pots, and pans, loading the dishwasher, and placing items to dry.
• Unload cutlery and dishes brought to the kitchen, sort by category, and load into trays for the industrial dishwasher. Hand-wash any items too large or delicate for machine washing.
• Clean and sanitize all dishware and kitchenware according to health and safety standards, ensuring staff have the necessary supplies for food and beverage service.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including refrigerators, cooking equipment, walls, floors, and the dish pit. Assist with removing trash and taking garbage to the dumpster as needed.
• Monitor dishwashing loads to ensure timely and efficient washing cycles, adjusting workflow and priorities as needed to meet staff demands.
• Stay organized, agile, and responsive in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple tasks while communicating clearly with team members to maintain a smooth kitchen operation.
• Adhere to uniform requirements and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing KGI.
• Follow all applicable state, federal, and tribal laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
