KAW NATION POSITION DESCRIPTION
TITLE: TITLE VI DIRECTOR/COOK
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
CONTROLLING SUPERVISOR: CHAIR
LOCATION: Kaw City, OK
QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires a physical examination. Completion of food preparation training at an accredited vocational school, or two (2) years’ experience in quantity meal preparation.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Prepares meals for Title VI program
- Prepares menus in advance to meet the special dietary needs of elderly and child care facility
- Prepares food supply lists for program director to order
- Raw food
- Kitchen supplies
- Utensils
- Kitchen staples
- Responsible for all related kitchen duties and practices
- Sanitation
- Health
- Safety
- Food storage
- Temperature checks daily on food served, refrigerators, and freezers
- Responsible for specific cleaning duties
- Record keeping on the following items:
- Yearly reports
- Daily meal count of all meals served
- Daily sign-in meal sheet
- Daily count of units of service
- Periodically surveys food likes and dislikes from participants
- May at times deliver meals when needed to fill in for one of the transporters
- Complete any other duties as assigned by the immediate/controlling supervisor.
