A Spray Tech Journeyman in the furniture industry is responsible for applying finishes to furniture pieces using spray guns and other equipment. This role requires a blend of technical skills and artistic ability to ensure high-quality finishes that meet specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain spray guns and finishing equipment.
- Mix paints, stains, and lacquers to achieve desired colors and finishes.
- Monitor the viscosity and flow of finishing materials for consistency.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Collaborate with design teams to meet project specifications.
- Proven experience as a spray technician or similar role.
- Knowledge of various finishing materials and techniques.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills.
- This position typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with relevant certifications or training in spray finishing techniques.
