Director of Food and Beverage

Braman, OK - Full Time

Qualifications:  
High School diploma or GED required; a bachelor’s degree preferred. Two years of managerial experience is also required; however, a combination of education and experience may be considered. Candidates must pass background and drug screening per Kaw Nation Gaming Commission regulations to obtain a gaming license (Medical Marijuana cards are accepted). Flexibility to work any shift as needed or assigned—including weekends, evenings, and holidays—is required. Physical requirements include frequent lifting, occasionally in excess of 50lbs, as well as regular bending, stooping, and walking.

Responsibilities and Duties:
The Food & Beverage Director is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the organization’s food and beverage department. This includes upholding quality and safety standards, driving profitability, and ensuring exceptional guest service. This role requires a strict adherence to confidentiality to protect both business and employee information. Additionally, training in company branding is required to ensure consistency in service and presentation.
 
  • Create, implement, and monitor departmental budgets; ensuring all food cost ratios are established and maintained.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and audit food, beverage, and service standards to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Provide recommendations to the General Manager and department heads regarding operational deficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Complete and submit monthly inventories and reports in a timely and proactive manner.
  • Assist with training employees across all shifts to ensure consistency and quality of service.
  • Ensure all food and beverage machines are maintained and in working order.
  • Proactively manage congestion in kitchen and front-of-house areas to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Monitor, stock, and maintain cleanliness of assigned areas.
  • Uphold the highest standards of guest service and employee relations, ensuring fairness and consistency.
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and food sanitation standards.
  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of food service operations.
  • Promote and maintain a professional work environment through clear communication with subordinates, coworkers, management, guests, vendors, and other departments.
  • Adhere to uniform requirements and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing KGI.
  • Follow all applicable state, federal, and tribal laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
