TITLELASO/LICENSING ASSISTANT
CONTROLLING SUPERVISOR: CHAIR COMMISSIONER
QUALIFICATIONS: (FULL TIME)
The Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED. The candidate should possess good computer and communication skills and strong ethics and the ability to maintain confidentiality. The candidate must have report writing skills and be familiar with Tribal, Federal, and State laws regarding Indian Gaming, and criminal records. The applicant must possess knowledge of insurance in a group coverage setting and have one year of office experience. The applicant must not have a criminal record and be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Preferred Qualifications:  College coursework or an associate degree preferred. Possess some knowledge of the criminal and civil court systems and previous experience searching databases.
 
  • LASO-Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Responsibilities
  1. Maintains compliance with federal and state law and regulations for privacy and security requirements.
  2. Prepare for and be a liaison for CJIS audits of licensing files and notify the Commissioners (NIGC).
  3. Assure all files containing CHRI (Criminal History Record Information) are secure in a secured area and destruction of files are properly disposed of.
  4. Keeps information with NIGC current by informing the NIGC of any changes in the Kaw Nation’s information, the CJIS Officer or the Authorized Tribal Signatory and submits the changes to NIGC.
  5. Maintains Authorized Personnel List per CJIS regulations (LASO duties) and ensure the list is kept up to date.
  6. Ensure Authorized Personnel receive required training in accordance with CJIS guidelines (LASO duties).
  7. Ensure CJIS Security Policy is being followed for compliance (LASO duties).
  8. Ensure Outsource Agreements, Security Awareness Trainings are being conducted and updated with NIGC, approved by the FBI and are kept up to date. (LASO duties).
  9. Complete CJIS checklists, preparing for CJIS audit.
  10. Cooperates with NIGC and/or federal officials during the audit process and serves as the KNGC representative for CJI/CHRI audits.
