Job Title: Electrical Technician

Location: Custom Mechanical Equipment, Ponca City, Oklahoma

Job Summary: At Custom Mechanical Equipment in Ponca City, Oklahoma, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality custom mechanical solutions. We are seeking an electrical technician to join our team. This role is responsible for using hand and power tools along with instrumentation to wire, assemble and install electrical components according to blueprint specifications. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and good hand-eye coordination.   Pay depends on experience.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Reads blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then builds to those specifications.
• Wire, assemble, and install electrical components according to specifications.
• Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies.
• Maintains equipment and performs basic repairs when needed. 
• Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; contacts material handler if supplies are needed.
• Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall operations of Custom Mechanical Equipment.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
• Detail-oriented and consistent.
• Works well as a productive member of a team.
• Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment.
• Basic ability in mathematics, reading, and writing.
• Wiring experience a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as required by the demands of the job and the materials used.
• Must have manual dexterity to assemble products or machines.
• Must have mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow directions.
• Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Must wear appropriate PPE.
