Qualifications: Must have good communication skills, organizational and teamwork skills along with interpersonal skill.  Flexibility to work any shift as needed or assigned.  Position requires a high school diploma or GED.  Candidate must be able to pass extensive background check in accordance with Kaw Gaming Commission regulations to obtain gaming license and must be self-motivated and able to work independently.

 Responsibilities and Duties:

The busser’s primary responsibility is removing used dishes, glasses, and flatware, and preparing tables in a professional manner for new guests.  This role serves to expedite seating guests in a timely manner. The work that bussers do is physically and mentally demanding. They are on their feet much of the time. Bussers must work well under pressure and exercise tact and patience when dealing with other employees and guests.

 The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Removes dishes, glasses, flatware, and any other items from table following guest’s meal.
  • Clean and professionally prepare table for new guests in accordance with company standards.
  • Performs cleaning side work as assigned.
  • Keeps bus stations clean, stocked and organized.
  • Assists in overall ongoing maintenance of facility.
  • Supports waiters and kitchen staff in other duties as required.
  • Always take care of the needs of all guests.  
  • Physical ability to carry trays and tubs filled with various smallware’s not exceeding 50 pounds.
  • The physical ability to balance heavy items.
  • Previous restaurant experience highly preferred.
  • High energy and stamina required.
  • The ability to stay calm and work efficiently under pressure.
  • The ability to prioritize job duties and manage time effectively.
  • Verbal communication skills required.
  • Willingness to work when needed due to business needs.
  • The ability to read menus, safety documents, etc.
  • Basic mathematical skills and money handling.
  • Basic reading skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Prior knowledge of beer, wine, liquor, and cocktail recipes.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Multitask oriented.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
  • State food handler’s or alcohol compliance cards.
  • Must always wear gaming badge on upper left quadrant while at work or meetings.
