Dishwasher
Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma or GED. Ability to lift 50 Ibs, several times a day, ability to place cooking pots, pans, utensils and plates on both low and high shelves, work in hot and damp environments, and ability to respond to situations to avoid endangering themselves or others. Hardworking, self-starter and can communicate well with others. Ability to learn how to use commercial dishwasher, work in a fast paced environment doing physical labor. Required to pass extensive background check in accordance with Kaw Gaming Commission regulations to obtain gaming license.
Responsibilities and Duties:
A dishwasher is responsible for cleaning dishes in a food service environment to ensure that the kitchen has a steady supply of clean plates, bowls, silverware, pots, pans, and glasses. Their duties include prioritizing loads of different types of crockery and kitchenware, hand-washing dishes, pans, and pots and loading the dishwasher and placing dishes to dry.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Dishwashers unload the cutlery, and dishes brought to the kitchen, then load and organize trays for the washer.
- Hand wash the pots and pans that are too large for the commercial washer.
- Washing of work areas, refrigerators, cooking equipment, walls, and floors.
- Help with taking out the garbage and trash to the dumpster.
- Clean and sanitize dishes so that Cooks and Servers have the supplies they need to prepare food and serve to guests..
- Fully sanitize each dish according to health and safety standards.
- Sort dishes in the dish pit into different categories, spray down each tray of dishes and either scrub them by hand or place them into the industrial dishwasher.
- Dishwashers oversee changing each load of dishes at the right time to efficiently wash multiple loads of dishes. .
- Ability to lift 50lbs several times a day.
