Position Summary
Successful Repair Technicians are expected to demonstrate:
- The Repair Technician is responsible for testing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electronic and automation equipment for both company inventory and customer-owned equipment. This position also assists with the design and construction of diagnostic equipment and the configuration or customization of drives and related equipment based on customer requirements.
- Test, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair incoming inventory.
- Diagnose and repair customer-owned equipment.
- Design and build diagnostic components and test equipment as needed.
- Build, configure, or customize drives and related equipment for customer applications.
- Follow established Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and electrical safety procedures.
- Participate in training and continuing education to expand technical and repair capabilities.
- Monitor and maintain an appropriate inventory of parts and supplies needed for repair operations.
- Meet productivity, quality, and performance goals established by management.
- Maintain an organized and efficient work area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work accurately and with close attention to detail.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience with drive repair, industrial electronics, electrical work, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and safe work practices is preferred.
- Ability to occasionally climb or use ladders while working with inventory or equipment.
- Ability to frequently move, lift, or handle boxes, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to communicate information and instructions clearly and effectively.
- Ability to safely work with electrical and electronic equipment.
