QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires a High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years experience in a clinical/physician office setting. Work history should reflect knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT coding, third party billing. Must be proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel. Must exhibit the ability to recognize and use accordingly skills related to confidentiality issues. Must have the ability to answer multiple phone lines, multi task, and coordinate work efficiently. Must be able to communicate effectively with the public for the purpose of giving and obtaining information. Must have a valid driver license and be insurable.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
All new hires will be required by the Kaw Nation to submit to a pre-employment drug screen. Failure to pass the pre hire drug screen will lead to withdrawal of the job offer or termination of employment. All new hires must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, pull, push and lift a minimum of 25 lbs.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Accurately prepare and submit claims to appropriate third party payers in a timely manner and posting insurance payments.
- Search and retrieve individual patient health records to gather and compile information for billing accuracy.
- Respond to inquiries and requests for information from various sources and follow up to ensure timely response to others.
- Update and verify patient insurance information as needed to ensure billing accuracy.
- Knowledge of insurance company requirements and working claim denials.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
